Registry Repair Tools - Getting Most Out Of Them
In my experience the trick to getting the most of registry repair tools is to do some preparation before you start using them.
Before you do a registry repair make sure your PC is as decluttered as possible (Registry cleaners will fix a lot of PC problems but there are some things that can only be fixed by you).
First, clear out the ununsed programs on your computer
If you’re anything like me, you’ll have loads of useless shareware applications installed on your PC that you’ve downloaded over time. These things take up space on your PC, probably slowing down hard disk access. There’s also a chance that some of these apps are slowing down the startup of your PC.
Cleaning up the apps now will allow the registry repair tools to get rid of any garbage the uninstalled apps leave behind.
Next, clean out your startup folder
To delete items from your startup folder just right click on them (in the start bar) and select delete. Anything that starts up un-necessarily, slows you boot up.
Finally, clean out the applications that startup by stealth
When some applications are installed (especially commonly used, mainstream applications) they create auto-updating entries in Windows. This is great, until all the applications are starting up and checking for updates as soon as you switch on your PC.
To get rid of the un-necessary ones, select Start - Run and type “msconfig” then click OK.
Click on the startup tab and delete any applications that you know you don’t need starting up automatically. Be careful not to remove any essential Windows components.
After you have prepared your PC, click here to download registry repair tools and scan your PC.
